Signed Ruth Lee Leventhal 18K Gold Sculpture in solid 18K yellow gold, signed on back plaque by Ruth Lee Leventhal, F.R.S.A. Weighs 32.80 dwt / 51.10 grams and measures 3½ x 3 inches. Features two stylized nude figures in seated embrace, one holding a shell-like form aloft. Silver wave-like accents extend from the front figure’s back. Detailed contours and musculature throughout. Leventhal studied at New York University, the Art Students League, and the National Academy of Design. She was a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and received numerous honors, including the National 3M Award, Gold Medals from the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, and the Sculpture Award from Allied Artists of America. Her work blends symbolism and surrealism with expressive form, making this piece a rare and collectible example of her sculptural legacy.
