Vintage Salvage Shipwreck Coin Pendant with Gold Octopus Bail. A vintage pendant featuring a 23mm Spanish colonial-era treasure coin recovered from a historic shipwreck. These irregularly struck coins, known as “cobs” or pieces of eight, were minted in the Spanish colonies during the 16th–17th centuries and carried across the Atlantic in heavily laden galleons. Many were lost in legendary wrecks such as the Nuestra Señora de Atocha (1622), making each surviving example a tangible relic of maritime trade and empire. The coin is dramatically embraced by a sculptural octopus bail in rich yellow gold, blending nautical symbolism with colonial history. Total weight: 5.40 dwt (8.30 grams)
